Following the news of his death on October 1, 2024, there has been speculation that Frank Fritz may have been married and had kids with his wife. That one, we fact-checked and found a few things about the relationships he may have had in the past. 

Recall that Frank hit the spotlight following his feature on the hit American TV show, “American Pickers” in 2010? Well, he was 45 years old at the time and co-hosted the show on History Channel with his co-host Mike Wolfe. 

They originally first starred on the series during its debut season in 2010. Before that feature, though, Frank was featured in the 2005 TV series, “American Dad!.” Apparently, he made his debut with that series.

Frank Fritz was born on October 11, 1965, to Bill Fritz and Susan Zirbes (nee Fritz), in Davenport, Iowa, United States. His zodiac sign is Libra and at the time of his death, on September 30, 2024, he was nearly 59 years old. 

Per our findings, he was raised by his parents, Bill Fritz and Susan Zirbes (nee Fritz), alongside his sister, with whom he shared a great bond. A few years after graduating high school, Frank, for 25 years, pursued a career as a fire inspector. During his career as a fire inspector, he began to collect firefighter and firehouse-related memorabilia, and ultimately, that led him to shift his focus entirely to the world of antiques. 

This naturally led to his decision to open the antique shop Frank Fritz Finds in Savanna, Illinois, which would mark the beginning of his journey into the world of vintage treasures. 

Was Frank Fritz Married? 

Though Frank Fritz may not have been married, he was previously in a relationship with his now ex-girlfriend, Diann. Well, per our findings, his relationship with Diann may have ended in 2019 because, apparently, the long-term relationship his fans felt he had that was going to lead to marriage unfortunately didnʼt. 

He first gave hits to his relationship with Diann in a post he made on his now-private Facebook account sometime in 2021. In December 2016, sources say, Frank shared a picture of Diann, her daughter Paige, and Paige’s daughter Eulalia. 

He had referred to his then-girlfriend’s daughter’s child as his “granddaughter.” But, when he tried to clarify the dynamics of their relationship, he was quoted as saying: 

“Diann’s family is my family. It is great being Grandpa Frank! I love my girls.” 

On a rather sad note, though, when Frank Fritz granted The Sun an interview in July of 2021, as he entered rehab, he spoke about his relationship with his then-girlfriend, Diann, and was quoted to have said in part: 

“The main problem was this girlfriend I had. I thought I was getting married, and I bought a brand new house. Then I found out that all the time while I was on the road, she had a boyfriend back here.

It hurt my feelings, my self-esteem, and my whole world. I gave it a good shot, I tried to drink her away. I never drank that much before.”

Reacting to his claims regarding the dynamics of their relationship, Diann, in an interview she granted The Sun on a later date, was quoted as saying in part: 

“It’s not true what he’s saying. If he’s trying to make me look like the bad person of course I’m going to say it’s not true, because it’s not. I don’t care to have drama or chaos in my life, I’m just trying to heal right now. It’s been two years, I’m ready to move on.” 

Per this revelation and the interview was given in 2021, it means that Diann and Frank officially broke up around 2019. And for Diann’s daughter, Paige, it may well be a child she had in a previous relationship. But, ultimately, she and Frank do not share any form of grudges, even though their relationship didn’t last ‘happily ever after.’

What is Frank Fritz Net Worth 

Per sources across the web, Frank Fritz had a net worth of $2 million, at the time of his death. Naturally, his major source of income was his career in the entertainment industry as a host and antique collector & trader. 

Though he may be dead, Frank will also be remembered by the best of us for his legacy, especially for his roles in the TV series, “American Pickers (2010), American Pickers: Best Of (2017), and American Dad! (2005).” 

Currently, his cause of death is not known and has not been revealed. However, he was said to had been hospitalized with a stroke in July of 2022 and died on September 30, 2024, in his hometown, Davenport, Iowa, United States, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
